Is anyone else having an issue where the SMS/MMS icon won't go away even though there are no unread messages? A battery pull will fix it but it happens ever other day it seems like.

I haven't experienced this issue. If you go and "Mark prior opened" does that make it go away?

No, it also happens with the BBM incon as well.

Very strange. I know with facebook notification, I can't use mark prior opened or it gets all messed up.

checked all folders and saved messages and there was nothing new. There are no open BBM chats and it says there is an unread one. Just weird.

I get this every now and then. My fix is to:

-Search
--Show: Unopened Only
--Type: SMS (or whatever type you're looking for)

No dice... still have the BBM notification icon at the top with no unread BBM's.

I had a missed call that caused the icon to show up. I forgot I hid applications, I had to show hidden applications and click on the Blackberry email icon app and delete a missed call, then the icon went away.
