Im been running the 7.14hybrid from Irtehun for a couple days and its solid and now it just realeased for public today. Head over to BBhyrids.net and get it!
yeah i actually used the .191 radio on it and the battery life seemed ok then i switched back to .230 to compare and then i will conclude which one I will use. but it seems that the higher hybrids are taking up just a little bit more battey than the others, i havent confirmed this to be true yet but time will tell. They also say that the 230 radio works better with higher hybrids.
If you use the hybrid with the .191 radio, do you get threaded SMS?
edit: found it myself. I guess Ill try .191. The main reason I am on 5.0 is for threaded sms. Tabbed browsing would be cool too... Ill have to tinker with that over my winter vacation.

just know when you load the .191 radio its not going to give you the lightning bolt when charging, so one thing i did is went to the clock options and set it to go into bedside mode when it charges, this is how you will know its charging unless you just wanna plug the charger in and never see the lightning bolt.
I have been battling with .230 for what feels like years now. I would frequently have issues connecting to my MDS server and apps would hang trying to make outgoing data connections through BES. I finally broke down and switched the radio with 7.14 to .119 and I have not seen my data issue. To be clear, i'm in Central London with a minimum of 4 bars of 3G.
So, i can't speak for CDMA and this radio, but on GSM connected to a BES server, .119 is much better than .230
Also, the radio swap feature of shrink-an-os doesn't work....you need to manually replace the CDMA folder.
and 7.13 had big issues with the VIP's or something....so they rebuilt the package and then it was re-released as 7.14. not a VIP so i don't know any specifics
Thanks for the info. I remove VAD and I don't mind the lightning bolt... Its just good to know that it is still charging. I will install within a few hours and hopefully report back in a few days.
