So i have about 107 BBM Contacts and I have 3 Groups of the following

City
Contacts
Peeps

I back up my groups via email and local backup.

So i just upgraded my OS to the new 421 for my 9700 and it only restored the "CITY" group, which thankfully was my major group of 82 people.

So I did another restore, from local back up.. same thing. only 82 people restored!! which is straight up BS!!

Has this happened to anyone else? Which when you try to restore your contacts, only the first group gets backed up/restored?

I don't have the same problem, but T-Mobile's contact backup never works for me. Ever. It's such a hassle. I use the Desktop Manager's backup function. It only works with BB's but that's not a bad thing, is it?

EDIT:Oh, my bad, were you talking about the Desktop Manager? Woops. I don't have any problems with that.

sometimes it just takes a while forthe groups to pop back up, like 10/15 minutes is some cases

never had a problem with restoring from an email or the SD card, it has always worked. but i always do Dm backups of my data to be sure

I have 8 bbm contacts. Why/how do people have so many? I thought I was cooooool. I was impressed with bbm restoring my contacts when I transferred devices. All of my friends came with me. All 8!!!!!!

I did a backup today to the mem card, when i looked at it with filescout, it was 12 megs. What would cause it to be 12 megs? i have 38 contacts and member if 4 groups. The previous backups were around 2-3megs. How can I reduce the size of backup... not to mention the 45 mins it took to do it.

^ lol to funny. i've never had this problem with my BBM restore, but i only have about 8 contacts myself.

Worked fine for me. I restored a few times and all my 12 BBM contacts showed back up.
