I read an older thread about the possibility of the Tmobile version of the 9700 Bold having a different processor and/or memory then the At&t/other versions. I just used my Tmobile upgrade on one and my mind won't be changed about it, but I'm just curious if what I read was true and if so, what differences(besides the network) are there?

    Thanks

*I searched and most of the relevant topics were more about the network/3G differences.

    Thanks for the responses!

I had another question, if anyone knows. I have the option to add unlimited internet for $20 more, or a Blackberry International Email plan. Do I need both? I never leave the country, but I just want whatever services I need to have the phone fully functional so I'm not missing out on any of the neat features.

The only difference between the 2 9700s is the t-mo has UMA calling and their plans cost half as much

The 9700 is the same device for every carrier, Telus/Bell/Rogers get the same one in canada(don't know all the US providers)

but that's not a difference at the handset. That's the network.

I heard UMA is not all that it's cracked up to be (read: call quality is subpar)

I never really have any trouble with ATT call quality. Do you?

Unlimited data plan is all you need.

Call quality is crystal clear. The ONLY problem can be handoff. GSM -> UMA handoff works well, but UMA -> GSM handoff isn't always perfect.
