Can someone give me a link to a reliable os?
I want to be able to just download, hook up my device, and download it.
I dont know how to use bbsaks or any of those programs and I dont want to brick my bold (already bricked a storm, 507 error). Can someone please help...

I thought only 5.0 os had threaded sms?

Search the various threads on the topic of 5.xxx where it has caused problems: 5.xxx is not OFFICIAL for a reason.

Sorry man. Only way to get threaded sms is to update to a beta 5.0 OS. Most updated is 5.0.0.411 for the Bold 9000. There are detailed instructions in links in my signature on how to update.

Your going to have to become familiar with app loader, desktop manager and bbsak potentially if you want to play with your phones software.

I did it for the first time, messed up the browser fix, wiped the phone again reloaded the os did the browser and VVM fix and .411 is working great.

.411 has it and seems stable on my device, but I preferred the "almost" threaded look on 4.6 though to be honest.

I just wish my battery life didn't blow. I really needed threaded SMS after coming from the iPhone though. I like OS 5.0 a lot!

the 507 "bricked" bb is super easy to bring back to life if something wrong was to happen...so don't worry too much about it

it's close to impossible to brick a phone, there are about 209348239043284093248329r guides on this site for loading 5.0 OS. it doesn't requires new threads

i upgraded my device to .411. and I got the error 507...it was real easy to fix...Ive since downgraded twice and upgraded again

Then I went back to 4.6, .266 because the newest version didnt have the active call timer display on the home screen
