    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows when Rogers plans to release the new OS 5.0 for the 8900 curve? I was hoping to wait for the official release. I'm new to Blackberry's and have recently read a bunch of info on the net about a leaked version. I'm a little worried about installing this as the current version works great for me. I just don't want to mess anything up. Any suggestions? Should I wait or just install the leaked one? Is it quite easy to install?

I'd be very surprised if Rogers ever rolled out OS 5.0 for the 8900. I think they'll just leave it as is and let it run it's course.

But, there's nothing stopping you from grabbing an official 5.0 release from another carrier and loading it up on your 8900. Works fine and you get to enjoy the new features of OS 5.0.

I'd recommend going with the latest "official" 5.0 from Wind Hellas v5.0.0.509. Check it out here:

Read through the findings to see what's changed and what's new.

As always, do your research on upgrading your BB before you proceed... the CB BlackBerry OS Super Page has all the links you'll need:

Yes, Yes and Yes. They all work fine for me with the newest version of 5.0 for the 8900.
