    I love my Storm 1 but I will admit that I want the hardware resources of the Storm 2.

    If the storm had more app memory maybe. Having. To do a battery pull each day sucks.

    Please back up your comment that the Storm is better than the Storm 2. I cannot understand why you would say that.

    I loved my 9530 every minute of every day that I had it - yes, even with the buggy OS, daily battery pulls, etc. In fact, when I first got my 9550, I didn't notice the improvements to be all that dramatic.

    The other day I was looking for a picture that didn't get trasnferred to my 9550 and I could barely use the 9530.

    It's a great phone, but the 9550 is a whole new world.

    storm 2 is better because
    of all these things - that i wish my storm had
    * screen lock face detection
    * Enhanced SurePress Technology (SurePress is all electronic in Storm 2 - there are no mechanical moving parts)
    * Overall device performance (i.e. rotation speed, etc…) is enhanced
    * JavaScript is now On by default
    * Wi-FI 802.11 b/g
    * 256 MB Flash Memory (Storm 1 had 128MB)
    * 2GB Onboard Media Memory (Storm 1 had 1GB)
    * Sleeker Design (tinted chrome ring, etc.)
    * Integrated touch navigation keys
    * BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0
    * Internet browsing enhancements (i.e. faster page loading)

    I think that the Storm 1 is better looking than the Storm 2. I like the clicking better on the Storm 1, and the PHYSICAL buttons on the bottom. Storm 1 has more than enough memory for my applications and wifi is not necessary. I still got both of my Storms, and I'm about to switch my Verizon service back to the original Storm...

    That says it all...lol! You haven't used it, but rather "dealt" with it. Sorry, couldn't resist!

    Hmmm, doubt that. HOWEVER, it seems the Storm 2 isn't exactly perfect either.

    I love my storm but I wouldn't call it the best smartphone.
    Nope. It has the potential to be the best, but it's not quite there. Then again what's best for one is not necessarily the best for another...

    i have my storm 1 since Christmas of last year and loving it, especially with OS5...i do not have to do battery pull daily, in fact i can go a full week without having to do one. i have BES, and three email servers coming in. i have viigo, golflogix, poynt, pandora, games, and i do not encounter the problems that some folks get.

    i'm loving it! got my wife her own storm 1, too, and we think it's the best one out there.

    You are not alone. I've had my storm1 since a little after "d day". I've never had to return it for another. I don't understand why people have so much trouble with it. I would say its the best smartphone I've had.

    I have storm1 and ever since 151 I have had nothing but a great phone. Starts up with 42 and ends a very busy day with 39 and I have 10 apps. Only reason to go to storm 2 would be for more memory. This is the original I got in February.

    I used my storm 1 for 1 month and sold it for an iphone 3G... then sold the iphone 3G after 3 days of use and bought a storm 1 again...

    Now reasons:
    1. Multi-tasking! (push instant messages on msn didn't work well on the iphone, I was getting 1 out every 40 messages received)
    2. Email program (iphone's mail program didn't have "Mark all as read" function and 15 out of 40 emails per day I prefer not to read but mark as read)
    3. Click screen (Just like the feel, personal preference, anyone else like the 1st gen click screen?)

    I am also currently using a Nokia E71. That is the best of the best phone in my list. Storm is great too, because of the large screen I can read pdf docs much easier.
