Hello. I bought my used 8300 a couple months ago and up untill now everything has been fine. But now all of a sudden it will not pick up any service. it just searches and finally says no service. However, every couple of tries it will work just fine. this is not the only problem tho. the phone is also shutting off and rebooting randomly. Could these be related? Anyone have similar problems and if so, can I fix them. otherwise I might just have to go and pick up that new bold

Hi, I got an 8300 but I actually had a very similar prob with an old 7290 some time ago where there was never any service, this problem persisted and like yourself did work occasionly, had a couple people look at it and ended up moving onto a bb pearl instead so much less agro in such circumstances

Have you done a battery pull? If not, try removing the battery with the phone on, wait about a half minute, and replace.
