Heck Yeah! That would make the phone complete. It does look weird at night. I guess since we're used to seeing our previous BB's light up in the center it feels weird. They should put the led from the 8100 for that multiple color choice but I'll be happy as a clam with just plain white! :-D

As one poster said and as discussed in some other threads an optical trackpad relies on not being flooded with light ergo no lit trackpad.

I would love the chrome "ring" to light up. When I'm laying in bed in complete darkness my thumb starts drifting off to the side because I can't see where I'm touching. A light around the trackpad would fix that.

Yeah, I think it would be way cool, but as long as it didn't sacrifice the trackpad's usability. I don't have too much problem using it at night, but this would make it a lot easier.
