I got my new 9700 coming from a 9000. Loving it so far, however I connect the bold in my car to a motorola T650 bluetooth receiver which allows me to listen to music through my car's stereo speakers and hands free calls.. My old 9000 bold had no problems. Now my 9700 connects well and streams music but the a/v controls do not connect. Therefore I am not able to manage the music from the motorola have to do it from the 9700. I have looked around the settings of the 9700 with no luck so far.Anybody else having similar problems, or know how to fix this? It's annoying. Thanks in advance.
I'm having the same problem with my 8900 and my T605. When I was using OS 4.6 there were no problems, I lost the a/v controls when I updated the OS to 5.0. Really would like to get this back, it's a real P.I.T.A.
Finally I've found others with the same problem. I've been going nuts trying to get to bottom of this since I got my 9700 last Nov. I have both Motorola T505 and BB VM-605 units and they both work great except for the same thing-no AVRCP!
Spoke with RIM support yesterday for an hour about this without success. It is obviously something in the 5.0 OS. I know this worked in my other BB Pearl 8120 using OS 4.5..
RIM wondered if there was an incompatibility between the bluetooth device software and the phone. I told them I have the same problem with 2 different brand units ONE OF WHICH IS A ! MONTH OLD BB UNIT. YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD TEST THEIR UNITS WITH THEIR PHONES BEFORE THEY SELL THEM!
I wonder if it will ever get fixed.
I may switch back to my iPhone this summer when the new phone comes out. That at least has "shake" to change songs.
