Ok, I killed my 8220. Not willfully or with malice of forethought, but I did it. Now all it will give is 4 quick red flashes and a pause, then 4 more quick red flashes.

Anyone know what this flash pattern means?

    thanks,

I dont know what it means, but did you try to upgrade the OS? If you already have the latest OS, then go to the previous OS, if it works (hope so), the go back again to the new OS.

Sounds like you bricked it. I would try this link here and see if that helps you revive it. I had a similar happening on an older curve and had to do this.

Man, I was so miffed after this wacko problem, I just pressed my 4 yr. old motorola into service for a chunk of time. Anyway, tried all suggestions and all Rogers tech help suggestions but could not break out of repeating "wiping" pattern. Rogers sent me a replacement and so far so good. I'm really thinking of upping to a 9700. We'll see.

    thanks for everyones help,
