- Like the title say's I sold out the 8900 owners for a new 9700.Its a really nice phone very solid feel. But as strange as it may seem I liked the 8900 keyboard better.Could be because I'm use to it.9700 is only a day old.As far as the trackpad goes WOW!!!!!! Its really nice.At first I tried one on the 8520 and wasn't excited at all. When I got this phone I felt the same but as I used it more and more.I began to really like it. I believe RIM struck gold this time. Now if the keyboard would grow on me like the trackpad I will be one happy customer.

I bought one for my wife, and I get to teach her all about the Blackberry world... luckily she is a techie.
One thing I'm very impressed with right now is the boot up time... I rebooted both right next to each other and the 9700 booted up more than a minute faster than my 8900.11-26-09 11:30 AMLike 0 - Haha nice, you didn't sell out. Its still a BB.

No need to worry though, with RIM's rollout program, I'm sure we'll all soon be hearing about the next latest and greatest device.
9700? Nah.
Remember, you still have time left to return yours and follow my lead and wait for the next device.11-26-09 04:36 PMLike 0 - The 9700 is cool but I'm with berryite. I'm going to skip the 9700 and get the next bb that comes out.

And are you still having the text wrap problem? I thought that was fixed with 5.0 'cause its wrapping fine as I type this on my 8900...

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com11-27-09 11:44 AMLike 0 - I was looking forward to the 9700 and initially bought my 8900 (free refurb deal) to hold me over. However, even though I'm still in my 30-day "trial" period, I think I'm sticking with my 8900. I love it way more than I was expecting. Keyboard is better than I thought, great memory and battery life, screen and camera are great for a phone, the design is slick, lightweight, and the leaked OS 5.0.0.348 absolutely rocks. The only real concern I had- lack of 3G- has been muted by the Wi-Fi, which I leave on all of the time and has been a minimal hit on battery life.
The 8900 is really a great little phone, and I'm going to wait until RIM's next offering beyond the 9700.11-27-09 12:52 PMLike 0 - I was looking forward to the 9700 and initially bought my 8900 (free refurb deal) to hold me over.
