Just wondering did anyone upgrade their Tmobile 9700 OS to the .344? And if so anything working better with it?

    Hey tracks,

I upgraded to 5.0.0.351 and it works great. I find it much quicker and the signal is much better than stock .330.

Was thinking about this too! I noticed the official releases & then the leaked OS & was considering upgrading, guess I'll give it a try.

I upgraded to .344, but I did this before putting the SIM in, so I don't know how it compares with the stock OS. Everything seems to work pretty much okay. Only problem is when using GPS with Google Maps while moving I get a constant pop up saying something along the lines of Google maps wants to reset security settings. You can't get rid of this without a battery pull (or at least I couldn't).

Any downside to upgrading the OS. Everything is configured just right for me at present. Will i lose applications addd-ons or 3rd party??? Any other ramifications of upgrading the OS to .351?? Thanks guys/gals..
    What are the benefits?

I got my 9700 on Tuesday and updated to .351 last night! So far so good... I have had no issues with any apps previously installed. The OS is very smooth and fast. The only issue i have is that i prefer to have the messages and "msm &mms" folders combined... However i can not seem to find the option for this anymore. But really its no big deal. Furthermore, i also noticed a better reception with this leak!

I got mine on Monday and updated that same day hoping it would fix the sms # formatting issue. It didn't fix it and it also didn't play well with opera mini so I downgraded back to stock. Couldn't find the stock OS for download so I had to let DM do the download, took forever to restore that way, over two hours! Anyone have a download link to the stock OS for next time? I guaranty the will be a next time! I can't help myself.

There is a new option in messages to choose which type of messages appear in the combined inbox and you have to check all the ones you want there, sms, mms etc.

I downloaded .351 last night, but haven't had the time to upgrade just yet. Mine came with .330 installed so I'm curious to see what differences there might be.

Yep, .330 came with my phone but I got a head start and already downloaded .344 before I got my phone. So after 2 days, I now have .351 installed. Not really noticing any difference with this one. The platform build went form 5.1.0.96 to .98 so I doubt we will see any change.

Does upgrading to a newer OS end up requiring you to redo the Enterprise Activation?????
