I have been running the latest OS that ATT released. I usually never plug my phone into my computer because it is on a BES, however i pluged it in just a minute ago to do a hard backup. when i pluged it in it said that there was a 5.0 core update.. I have never downloaded a BETA before so there is no way that this cant be official, right?? am i missing something?

More than likely it's the Desktop Manager update, not the device software. Many people have confused the two before.

I thought the same thing.. However i clicked the update button and it said that Blackberry Maps, and Blackberry Messenger would be deleted, and Visual Voice Mail would be installed.. I have the most up to date Desktop Manager.. This was definately the OS update.. I am waiting to update until i figure out what it is. (only because last time i downloaded and updated to a beta os i had nothing but problems and actually ruined my phone.. I learned the hard way, ha)

Yes i did... It was a old Beta, it was 4.6 os.
