I think they're still having BIS problems. My browser still times out on occasion too.

I tend to disagree. Browser on Blackberry is always slow to me, even more so if you compare it to an iPhone. But, that's an argument for another day

I'm in New York, NY and it's been a really disappointing day so far with my 9700. It's as slow as my 8900, only marginally faster (not really noticeable unless I test it head-to-head with the 8900 next to it). Next to my iPhone 3G, both really suck.

I'm soooooo disappointed. And as it did with the 8900, the Facebook content is totally unreliable. It downloads comments/messages/photos so slowly and unreliably, it's almost useless. barf...

Google maps loads the maps so maddeningly slowly, it's unusable. Much slower than my 8900. I ran the speed test and as I suspected, the latency figures are ridiculous.

    Latency 1818ms, 1627, 1016, 1120, 1020, 1016, 1022, 1015 1121, 1226.

Throughput 1054 kpbs, which is not bed - that's about a megabit.

Sloooooowww for me too. Especially for pages that haven't been previously loaded before, they take forever. Must not be a total outage because it still works though.
