Considering I hate voicemail. Yea, I like it. I use to hate to wait for the automated system. I never would listen to them. Now I just click the text and it plays.
well i called tmo to add this feature to my account, however whenever i go to the visual voicemail icon it says this phone isnt provisioned for it. and by the way im also running .348
At first i was having troubles getting it to my phone... Tmo was so bogged down today, i had to log in a couple times to get what i needed. And now i have the vvm working. I kinda like it too. I've used the you mail. It was ok too. I have my 8900 and i love it... And i am running .348 os. I like it too. I am a sucker when it comes to a 'leaked' os, i have to know that i have the latest software for my 8900. May upgrade to the 9700 but not for a couple months at least. Though i want it now, i can wait. Well, i'll give it my best.
I'm told it's not "officially" available for the BlackBerry platform with T-Mobile as of yet, but does seem to work for some users depending on the OS version they have installed.
As for here in Canada, I know Rogers (and if I remember correctly, many of the other carriers now offering 3G service) offer vvmail for the iPhone platform as well as a few other smartphone models. So, if vvmail the BlackBerry platform isn't yet supported, it probably will be soon.
I have it working on my 8900 with .348. Only issue that I have with it right now is the time stamps are off by 4 hours. Not really a big deal to me as of now because I don't get too many voicemails and it's not that important for me to be able to tell exactly when they came in. I'll mess with it later and try to figure it out though!
For those trying to get Visual Voicemail on your 8900. You first need to update to a 5.0 OS and then add the feature to your account. But in order to do this you need to change your phone over to the Bold 9700 and then change the features as it is the only phone with an official OS release of 5.0
I have tried that already and it is still not working. Any suggestions?
what problems are you having on getting it to work? Do you have the icon already on the blackberry menu? Have you changed your services on T-mobile's website to enable Visual Voicemail? Are you getting an error when trying to go into the program?
More information will help us solve your issue.
I might suggest you go back to .314 & see if it works then. I am running .314 as I have not had enough time to install .348 and it works for me.
