Hi I'm about to buy a new BB,

currently on the 8830, my GF as the Tour but I'm leaning towards the bold 9700

Wifi is not really a factor since I'll be on BES with unlimitted data plan

I'll have access to the HPSA+ network, I know the Tour doesn't support it

will that make a difference?

are they both capable of 3.6 speed?

Am I making the right choice by going with the Bold 9700 or should I go with

the Tour.

I had the tour for a couple months, and i loved my tour. However today i switched to the bold, and so far i love it!

Bold 9700. Trackpad is better than the ball, plus better processor and wifi.

if you talk at all on the phone then go tour...att voice is sooo bad. white noise all the time and dropped calls. go in a mall or office building and have a fading signal...att sucks.

i did like the bbms and emails coming thru while on a conference call but with my storm 2 and wifi, they still do at home or work!

I had the tour, now I have the 9700. It's a world of difference, and I would never go back to the tour. The 9700 is so solidly built, and feels really nice in hand. Also, the trackpad is a really nice innovation, which is much easier and convenient to operate than the trackball. Last but not least, the data speeds are much better on the 9700, plus you have the added benefit of wifi.

I am also on Telus, and I have to say that their new network is living up to its expectations.

Same story here...So far so good for Telus except the reception is still **** poor in the basement Anyone know any tips for getting better reception in my "bunker"?
