Hi Guys,

There is a new version of Weatherbug on App World and apart from some little cosmetic changes it is now able to use the GPS location on my Bell Storm, this did not work before...

Maybe this means WeatherBug Elite has been updated to work with the Storm 2.... Must check this out..

Well Weatherbug has been updated, and is downloadable with the Storm 2. So hopefully they get off their fat a$$'s and release the Elite version I paid for. Edit: well its on the BB Appworld site as being 9550 compatible.... But when I go into Appworld on the phone... It says it's not compatible...

I just downloaded the newest version of WB Elite and it is Awesome! The maps are unbelievable and the Radar rendering is fast and clear. Worth the money any day. Oh, and I'm running .328! No problems.

i got a blackberry notification for appworld that .873 was available. When i go into appworld all i see is ver .325 Is there a way to download the new one without going through appworld?

App World shows the upgrade but when you click on it, it says not available on App World, lol. I made the mistake of deleting my old one thinking that might triger the download, but didn't help. So don't delete your old one until they get it sorted out.

I got the notification today, with a link to App World. Downloaded .873. It works fine on a Storm 9500 5.0.0.230. The only thing that hasn't changed is that it still won't show forecast on the mainscreen of my Storm. This has something to do with 5.0.0.230.

Anyway, i can recommend it after using it for 12 hours!

anyone else having problems with the weather icon on the home screen not working after this update....mine worked fine and changed with the weather before but now it doesnt work. Ive done 2 battery pulls since install and still same problem...storm 2 BTW

Is there a newer (free) version already? It's showing .874. Also, 978 KB? IIRC, .325 was ~760. Wonder what's in the latest version that's caused it to bloat up ~200 KB.

Ever since I updated to the new version, I've had a problem with my Storm backlight going crazy and coming on at random times. It's totally killing my battery life.

I'm not 100% positive the two issues are related, but the problem started at the exact time I updated to the new weatherbug. Is anyone else having this problem?

I never did buy the Elite version but, AFAIK, the only way to get the paid version is via App World (with a PayPal account).
