Well, I haven't seen a thread posted for this yet and I've been reading alot of email/POP3/BIS/etc etc issues for Gmail accounts. I thought I'd post this anyway...
Gmail has released the Gmail mobile application that you can download straight from your phone's browser. This will then create a new icon (the gmail icon) in your applications directory and you can log right onto Gmail to access your emails. You need to open up your Blackberry browser and simply type in "www.gmail.com/app". You will immediately see a link to download.
The only thing I'm not totally sure about at the moment is if it still works without BIS service. I'm currently subscribed through T-Mobile's Blackberry add-on, and I would really REALLY love to cut down on my monthly phone bill. The ability to access my emails remotely was the sole reason for getting my Pearl.
