    I have read somewhere (can't find it) that it is possible to have .314 theme on .238. Can someone confirm that?

    There might be a way to do it, but not an easy one. The new theme seems to depend on a lot more files and modules than the older ones did. I haven't tried to thoroughly compare then yet, or jam the new theme into .238, but I have noticed lots of pieces that I don't think existed before this version, like:

    Code:
    - <module name="net_rim_plazmic_themereader" version="5.0.0.314" size="82528" system="1">
    - <siblings>
      <sibling name="net_rim_plazmic_themereader" hash="e24673999f59f35884ed8a6fa4903fd1e097e0e9" />
      <sibling name="net_rim_plazmic_themereader-1" hash="30beeb451ca668144b036258c87c90b55d99ca4c" />
      </siblings>
      </module>

    I'm using the .314 theme on .238 right now, works flawlessly. I have the 3 files on my home PC that I simply put into the java folder on the .238 installation on the PC before I reinstalled it to the phone. I can post them if you want.

    OK, actually it's 6 files. I dropped these files into the java folder of the .238 installation files on the PC (overwriting when necessary) and installed .238 as usual.

    One note though, I did this with .314 installed on the phone already and downgrading to .238 without wiping. Not sure if that makes a difference but I definitely have .238 running with the full .314 theme (blue gradient highlights and buttons throughout entire OS), so try it at your own risk.

    @NoahFecks: I'm very interested in trying this out.. The trick is i cannot download it via RapidShare. Can you please upload this to megaupload or sth else?

    If i understand you correctly i can install those 6 .cod files with BBSAK and it should be in there as theme?

    Used BBSAK to put these CODs onto my 9000 which was already running .238. Worked perfectly, no fussing around with anything. Thanks for providing the 6 files needed.

    I've had it running every since I downgraded from the .314 and never had one crash or reboot or any problems whatsoever.

    Would one of you be willing to see if you can use the radio from .348? That radio plus the look of .314 and newer, but with the battery life, memory management and stability of .238 is what I'm after. My 3G reception got MUCH better in .314 and it's not prone to errors now that I'm using the .348 radio, so I don't want to downgrade the radio now... But if it works in .238 that would change everything.

    I guess if you're all finished installing and restoring I could test it myself, was just hoping to catch someone still installing so I don't have to set all my apps up again. I think I've futzed with my OS more nights than not in the past week! lol!

    I came across this thread when searching before posting a new thread with the files. I sure do hate seeing multiple threads on the same topic.

    Also...I just noticed that I have new themes (orange, telstra, TIM, T-Mo: all Precision). Not sure if this is related, but have no other explanation as to why I have access to them now.
