- I have a blackberry Curve 8330 and I'm trying to add music to it from Itunes by using the Desktop for mac. It syncs with my phone but after I disconnect my phone and the program, the music is not available on the phone. Can someone tell me the procedure of adding music from my mac to the bb? I must be doing something wrong? FYI: I'm new to bb : )
Thanks so much!11-08-09 12:11 PMLike 0 - When I synched my Tour with DM I got a bunch of duplicate, old, and outdated contacts from my Macs Address Book (which I haven't even looked at or used in years! practically forgot I ever even had anything in it) on my Tour. Now my Tour won't let me edit or delete them from the phone. Whenever I try to Delete them the contact just stays there. When I try to edit them at all when I go to hit save I get a message that says "contact updated externally. Changes will be lost and the viewer closed." So basically I can't get rid of them11-08-09 01:24 PMLike 0

- Every time I sync it all my contacts are synced. Okay not sure now to put it but now that synced it 11 times I now have 11 copies of that contact AND strangely I lose numbers or contacts on my phone while they're still in entourage! Fortunately I know my dads number because his name was there without any numbers. Its so screwy. New to Mac and the storms my first BB.

I installed the desktop manager disc that came with my phone on my PC at work so I could synch all my contacts and such with Outlook there. (Main reason I even got a Blackberry was for work stuff) and the PC version is way better. Tons more options and customization. You can tell the PC DM who wins in a conflict, set it to synch one way or the other or combined synch like on the Mac, etc. Maybe I'll try and use the PC DM to clear up my contact issue then just use my Mac for back ups and just not synch it at home11-10-09 12:52 PMLike 0
- I'm having an issue using DM for Mac. When I try and restore my new blackberry from a backup of my previous one, it gets to the "restoring mms messages" freezes then fails to continue restoring. Anybody know how to resolve this?11-11-09 02:35 PMLike 0
- I had a similar problem, but I just waited through it, turned out that it wasnt frozen, rather i had a $hit load of mms messages and it just took forever to restore them.. i have now learned to rid of the mms msgs (or most of them) before backing up11-12-09 02:04 AMLike 0
- I have an 8830 running v4.5.0.138 software which I just updated today, the same day I began using desktop manager for mac. Contacts, tasks, and notes seem to sync just fine, but I am having massive problems with syncing iCal to the Blackberry. Regardless of what configuration I choose (sync everything, sync future events only, replace all items on this blackberry), I get 70-80% of the way through the sync before it hangs, and the desktop software stops responding. If I Force Quit, though, 8 times out of 10 the newly added appointments that I inserted as a test actually did sync (although the alarms do not). Any ideas on what is going on? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

- My Mac OS is 10.5.8. When I first attempted the sync I had two iCal calendars plus my Google Calendar, but I wiped all of those and am now down to a single iCal calendar (which still gives me the same issues). I confess I'm ignorant as to how many CICAL(?) I have on my device.11-13-09 08:04 AMLike 0

- I am wanting the option to 1 way sync from my blackberry to my mac. The options are there for the PC version but not the mac version.11-13-09 12:52 PMLike 0
- I guess I don't understand the issue...use the merge and if the only new items are on your BB, then they should be added to your mac...now I'm not saying that folks don't have issues, but technically there is no need for the function you describe.11-13-09 01:15 PMLike 0
- Ah-HAH! It doesn't match - the default CICAL is my @vzw.blackberry.net email address, which I never use. I can't seem to manually change this on my device to the correct address, though. I'm guessing this is something I need to do through desktop manager when I am next syncing... Thanks for the help so far!11-13-09 08:12 PMLike 0

Well, I decided to dig around in various settings anyway and deleted the never-used vzw account altogether. All CICAL entries are now gone and on my device the proper calendar entries remain. I'll have to wait until work on Monday to see if iCal sync now works on my Mac, but I have hope...11-13-09 08:52 PMLike 0
