Does anyone get Google Maps to work yet? I get a message of GPS not available on my 9700 with Bell.

Bell is crooked like that I think they want you to subscribe to their $10 / mo GPS service.

all day today my gps didnt work at all, battery pull, soft reset, re-install google maps. last night it worked but nothing today with google maps or trapster. not sure why. my 8330 doesnt work either, but im not sure if thats because its not connected to the network. I think bell GPS is down.

GPS is run by the US military. It has to be something else.

the service provider can cripple the gps on the phones. We already know this from the virizon storm issues.

i just remember reading that the verizon users had issues with their GPS, meaning the SP crippled it and wanted the users to pay for the navigation app instead of use the free ones. Someone would have to confirm for me, i didnt follow it alot since im from Canada and didnt get the storm.

I only got google maps to work while connected with wifi, I actually get a gps lock on less than 5 meters accuracy. However, without Wifi, I havn't gotten any gps or cell triangulation.

i got it to work last night and went for a drive, i had it to 3 meters but missed many turns as it lagged worse then my 8330. Also had it on trapster which seemed to be a bit more better on the response time. Trying both right now and failing once again.
