- I was going to get a new bold so i went to the store to check out the new device. And you know what I was disappointed. I think its to small. I am going to be upgrading to the 9000 instead I think from the 8900. I thought my 8900 was little small to. The 9000 is a good device right?11-04-09 06:41 PMLike 0
- The 9000 is a great phone but IMO the 9700 is much better, but I prefer the smaller size. It still has the 9000 keyboard, so an improvement as I thought the 8900 keyboard was a little on the small side. Its down to personal preference though, so if you prefer the 9000, go with that.

11-04-09 06:57 PMLike 0 - I'm switching from the 9000 to the 9700 for the following reasons:
Bigger/Clearer Screen
More Memory
Faster Processor
Smaller Size
Better Battery Door (9000 door always falls off)
Larger MicroSD card capability
TrackPad
To sum it up, the 9700 is far superior to the 9000 and will in time be the new Flagship of BlackBerry Devices.11-04-09 07:06 PMLike 0 - I like the 9000, I don't like the fit in my hand and they are large. I liked the curve I had before, but wanted the 3G and other benefits of the 9000, now I have a 9700 from Rogers enroute, though via Canada Post11-04-09 07:09 PMLike 0

If the 9000 had a better camera and trackpad, I'd never upgrade from it. The 9700 should have been the upgrade to the 8900 and not the 9000.11-04-09 07:12 PMLike 0 -

- I agree with the space key being cramped! I check it out today and the whole bottom row of keys are cramped. The keys doesn't stick out enough next to the plastic where the label for your carrier goes. It feel of the phone is definitely smaller than I would have hoped but I'll get used to it. They bottom row of keys on the other hand...11-04-09 07:32 PMLike 0

And the processor on the 9700 is faster than the one on the 9000. That was part of a news release before which is why you will notice that applications load faster compared to the 9000.11-04-09 07:36 PMLike 0 - Time to do some reading b4 making some of your posts.
To clarify, if reading the website when you make your purchase you can opt for Canada Post expedited, ups, ups saturday delivery.
The bold screen size isin't bigger either, its smaller.11-04-09 07:37 PMLike 0 - You're confusing resolution and physical size. Yes the 9700 has higher resolution, but since the device itself is not as wide, it is likely that it is a smaller physical screen (i.e., higher pixel density...which means less distance between pixels)11-04-09 07:40 PMLike 0

And yes.....480x360 is BIGGER than 480x320.
When I make themes for the 8900 and 9630 from my 9000 templates, the wallpapers always get stretched because the 480x360 screen is BIGGER!!!!11-04-09 07:40 PMLike 0 - I have never seen a 9630 in person but are you saying that the screen on your 8900 is bigger than the 9000??? It is like an earlier post, better resolution and same processor, the 9000 was ahead of its time in that aspect.11-04-09 07:54 PMLike 0

- Crucial_XtremeRetired ModeratorYou're kidding me right? You think that 480x320 (9000) is bigger than 480x360 (9700). Go back to school my friend. The 9700 screen is bigger than the 9000.

- DataCentre.. before you flame CX get your facts straight:
480x360 screen of the 9700 does have a HIGHER RESOLUTION, but the 9700 has its pixels spread over a SMALLER PHYSICAL SCREEN (~2.4"). The 480x320 screen of the 9000, although it has a LOWER RESOLUTION, has its pixels spread over a LARGER PHYSICAL SCREEN (~2.6-2.7"). So you have a higher pixel density with the 9700 (slightly clearer, pixels are smaller), but the ACTUAL SCREEN SIZE is smaller.11-04-09 08:01 PMLike 0 - LOL. I've had a 9700 from the very first hardware revisions(trackball) until now. Obviously you need to go back to school. The 480X360 you speak of is resolution, NOT actual size. The screen size of the 9700 is 2.44 inches, whereas the 9000's is 2.6. PLEASE get your facts straight before trying to correct someone about something in which you know nothing about.
