Just got the Storm 2 today and its been perfect... then about an 7 hours later, the dimming bug that was on my Storm 1 is now on my Storm 2. As soon as I go to landscape mode it dims. Is anyone else seeing this? Or, maybe it's due to some app i installed.

    Anyone else?

it's likely your fingers covered the LED/light sensor. I usually have the bottom keys on my right hand when in landscape, so the light sensor won't be covered.

Its not a bug. The OS is designed this way. Its been present OS 4.7.0.151 for most on the storm1.

No, its deffinitly a bug , the phone shouldnt go from 100% bright to 10% just because you go into landscape mode.

I've never seen this bug till I went to 5.0 on my Storm 1. When I got the Storm 2 the first thing I thought was "nice it doesn't dim anymore" But here it is dimming again... even on the S2

can you confirm that you didn't cover the led/light sensor? if not, you can turn off the auto dimming feature for now if you hate it.
I haven't seen this problem so far.

yeah it would not make sense to go that dim just switching to landscape. Has to be a bug. On the curve 8900 there was a bug where you couldn't wrap around text on webpages. build after build came out and it wasn't fixed forever. So it does take them time to iron it out. I definitely have it, and only fix for now seems to be keep your finger on the screen as you switch to landscape.

Its been present on my storm1 since before .148 and now on my s2. If it is a bug its one that they dont seem to concerned about.

agreed that may be true. like i said on 8900 wordwrap bug was a pita, but it existed for a pretty long time after multiple os builds. This bug seems to be as far back as 1/09
