I called up my CS rep yesterday (ATT Business Premier or whatever) and she said they were expecting stores to have it on the 8th? Has anyone else heard this?
I think you are the first for 11-8-2009! We got every other date.
I still have not seen a SINGLE 9700 in the carrier box on eBay yet and this has always been the TRUE test they are getting ready to release. There is not one, not for any carrier

Have they ever released a phone on a sunday before?
I wonder when it will be available online or via customer service? I usually order through the AT&T National Business Services area. Great customer service and no rebates to deal with. They usually do an instant rebate.

Well let hope this is true but I can not remember picking up a single new RIM device on Sunday. Most the times in the past my friends call me and tell me that UPS just dropped off the box with the new phones and to come and get mine. UPS does not deleiver on Sunday do they?
They don't deliver on Sundays but you can get up out of your chair and go to a store to get one. RIM isnt releasing these devices, the carriers are and the past few devices from AT&T have been released on Sundays.
I just called CS and asked about my upgrade availability and the release date for the 9700. The rep, after putting me on hold for a minute, came back and told me she didn't have any information on the release date.
Maybe its because the account is Business and not Business Premeier. Or maybe putting me on hold was to check with a supervisor whether she could give out the info.

Same here, but they told me a November release...
Great, Tell me something I don't know.
She said they were already taking presales and would be ready the 8th, but that's what she told me. And then I went to the corporate store in town and they gave me the bambi look. Either way, the first/ second week of November sounds like a good time, I was just double checking what I heard against everyone else ^_^
November 8th would be awesome. While I have no credibility or experience in predicting or leaking dates, my AT&T Premier rep told me it was originally expected for 23rd, but is being pushed back. Should get a call tomorrow with more information, but does not sound like she will give me a guaranteed date.
About 2 months ago they started an initiative that we generally release phones on sunday now. It could definitely be possible that the 9700 could be released on the 8th. All we can do is hope.
