IDK if its been posted, but ever since the new update, opera mini beta no longer works. Is there a way to fix this?

What is the problem you are having?
Have you tried to set permissions to allow?
Edit: or disable compatability mode.

I had to change Settings -> Advanced -> Protocol to HTTP to get it to work. YMMV

Is Opera Mini still hijacking your "get link" shortcut for links? When I'd get a email with an OTA download it wouldn't let me use the BB Browser... Would say "Open in Opera"

I forgot all about checking that. Just did a test, default is back to native BB browser, for now.

Send yourself a link to some ota thing on the cberry list (dont install it) just click on that link and see if it gives you the option to use the BB browser over Opera... If you can do this for me it could save me the hassle (and memory) of installing it. Thanks!

Thanks opera mini is working after making changes as instructed. Crackberry is he best thanks for everyone's help.

Mine has always been set to HTTP. Have 4.2 and 5.0 installed and both browse as good as the default one, mostly better.

yep, reinstalling opera worked great. i also installed bolt browser as a backup.

Well the beta would only work when I had. The 4.2 installed n after I update to 5.0 OS it stopped worrking. I did battery pull. reinstalled both and did the change to http from protocol and still nothing. Beta doesn't like OS 5.0 lol

It took me more than one install attempt to get the 5.0 version to stick. Even after the battery pulls. I tried more than one link as some of them may have been not cooperative with the 9530. One finally did load, and then took time to sync the bookmarks from my page on Opera 10. But now it works along side the 4.2. Both different, 5.0 has more steps to hoop thru...
