I am trying to unlock my 8900. I have the MEP code from tmobile, however when I go to the sim card options and bring up the dialog to enter the code after I hit enter, it freezes on the SIM card options screen and says "no valid simcard" after a batt pull it goes back to saying I still have 10 attempts. Any suggestions?

Get another SIM card from your carrier and then try again.

Agreed. Sounds like a bad sim card. They should probably replace it for free.

i recently unlocked my phone however I unlocked it without having a SIM card in the phone so try that out

You need put a sim card to unlock 8900. Here is a video instruction for you to watch here
