many apps arent useful in 5.0

not all themes work on 5.0

5.0 still has bugs like .323 what a high build, a bug like no channel circuit available problem for gsm users


.148 .151 .169 .179 have improved dramatically SO I WANT ANOTHER higher 4.7 build or dont WE? well .220 should be great dont you think?

some people like to stay with the older stuff. Just like some people refuse to use vista or 7 staying with xp. Not me though, been on betas cause I like upgrading.

5.0 is becomming official in a few days which inherently means vzw thinks its better than any 4.7 os out there right now otherwise they would not be releasing it. You will never see 4.7.0.220

You guys all make fun of the OP, but personally, i'd LOVE to get my hands on 4.7.0.220; just to try it and see exactly what it has that the earlier 4.7 builds didn't. I actually wonder if it has flick scrolling.

Personally, i'd rather see 4.7.0.220 leak; than an OS we're going to see in a couple of days anyways.

Now, if some one has a HIGHER 5.0.0.x build that they want to leak, i'd prefer to see THAT (and not .340; i've heard awful things about the radio signal)

SO far os 5 has showen speed. but lots of bugs are present and new one tend to appear over leaks, that werent seen in 4.7.... OS 5 is still crap ITS GETTING BETTER THOUGH.. im starting to think over almost a year blackberry storm is failure or its just RIM... ITS taking to long for a perfect OS for a storm to appear or should i say flaw less

Chill people, what difference would it make if it leaked? z06mike, your analogy is invalid. It's not like selling you DVD player and buying a VCR. It's more like having a DVD player AND a VCR.

After all, it's not rocket science to upgrade and downgrade your OS at will. I know that I, for sure, would install 4.7.0.220 for a couple of days. Just to see.

The guy (or girl) that started this thread did it for the purpose of creating a place to wait for a 4.7.0.220 leak; perhaps to show interest in such a thing.

He/She likely did not create this thread to be incessantly harassed just because they like 4.7 OSes better than 5.0; or want to try something new from the 4.7 world. Why is this thread flying so wildly off topic it isn't funny? People have preferences, we don't necessarily need to justify them to other people.

How long did you try 5.0.0.323 before you downgraded back to 4.7?

I played around with 5.0.0.323 for three days before retreating to 4.7.167. It was my second foray into the 5.0 world, but at the end I still thought it wasn't ready for prime time. The horked up media functions (xvid encoded videos wouldn't display and I couldn't even find the music player), my favorite apps broken (QuickText and Beyond160), flaky SMS notification behavior (previously read messages coming back as new), and a few other weird things were enough to make me retreat to the warm confines of .167.

I'd personally LOVE to see a 4.7.220 leak! Even if 5.0.0.328 fixes all of my 5.0 issues, I'm still curious enough to give another 4.7 build a try.

I'd love to try .220. Although 5.0 has great potential it's not there yet; I have tried every 5.0 leak and each time went back to .167. It just isn't ready. Incompatability with some apps and very bad sound and VAD. So yaaah for the gperson asking for 4.7.0.220. Could be useable upgrade until 5.0 is ready and app vendors make the changes needed.

Sorry Bob & Dot but 4.7 was never ready and never will be. It's dead. Let it RIP. 5.0 isn't perfect you're right, but omg comparing 4.7 to 5.0 = fail! Do you really think 4.7 has less bugs than 5.0? I would take a storm running 5.0 with 0 apps over a storm on 4.7 with 35 apps every day of the week. Speed with 5.0 is crazy. Would you go drive a Viper for a week and then go drive a Civic and say its better? Yeah it might get better gas mileage but where is the performance? 4.7 is done for a reason.

PS. I love me some Civic
