My battery dies so fast... I'm just wondering if this OS is making everbodys battery die so quickly... Any suggestions? I went down twenty percent in batt life in like two hours or less and I barely touched my phone besides being on crackberry...

No idea ... my Storm came off the charger 13 hours ago, the phone has been used all day long, played 30 minutes worth of tunes while walking, upgraded a couple of apps OTA, numerous deletes and reboots, and hasn't been anywhere near a USB port the entire time - battery is at 66%.

On this particular device both battery and memory management are far better on .323 then they were on .167, not as good as .151., but close.

Proves, once again, that every device acts differently ...

It seems as though my battery is going a little quicker on 323, but maybe it's my imagination.

I wonder how the battery life will be with 328?

My battery seems to last better on .323 than .167 but my app memory consistently sits at 25. Would be nice to be higher but doesn't affect performance much.

I haven't noticed a difference between .230 and .323, at least not enough to worry about anyway

Have you done several battery pulls? That will KILL your battery for 1 charge. What you need to do is let the phone drain til 'red'. Then charge all the way until full. Don't do a battery pull and you will be set.

My battery life has doubled since .230. I can go almost 2 days of pretty decent amount of usage.

    Mine was bad AT FIRST.

After a few battery pulls after the initial upgrade, and then just letting it settle in a couple days, its amazing.

I've been using my phone all day today. And by this point, my battery has only dropped to 95%. AND in memory I've gone from 29mb to 29.2mb.

However, when .328 drops I'll probably go for that anyways

No difference at all in the battery life I have now and when I had the hybrid in my signature.

Like previous poster said everybody plays with their phone more after an OS install.

Mine actually doubled on .230 and has remained the same on .323. It's been awesome. Sucks that so many other people are having issues.

Same here. Mine has basically doubled from the 4.7 builds.

I too wonder why so many people are having issues?

Ive used my storm for over 14 hours now and Im still above 65%. For those of you that are having battery issues make sure you put your network settings on 1XEV only. If you leave it on Global or GSM it will constantly search for that signal, so by setting it to 1XEV it will not search for the other networks. Searching for the GSM network drains the battery reallly quickly. This should improve your battery life.

What if our provider is GSM I had .230 no problems, now It is constantly searching (i can hear it by my PC speakers). I dont have a cdma provider as i ve unlocked and switched... :/ hopefully .328 fixes this issue.

My phone has been off the charger for over 17hrs now and I'm at 54%.

It doesn't make sense why so many people have problems with their battery unless they haven't made some of the changes like what paulwright1 said above and have been found here http://forums.crackberry.com/f132/ba...es-try-344851/.

I too have had TERRIBLE battery life on .323. I pulled my phone off the charger at 9:30am. Sent maybe 5 text messages and made a 10 minute phone call, by 3:05pm my phone was a paperweight. If I use anything on .323 I can visually see my battery draining, it will lose a few bars at a time. I changed the brightness and timeout and that helped a little over the past 2 days. I just changed the 1XEV which might have an effect because at work I don't have a signal in my building so it might be doing A LOT of searching.
