    I would suggest wiping with BBSAK (Blackberry Swiss Army Knife) and then load the OS using App Loader. See the link in my signature for how to upgrade with app loader. Make sure to back up your data via DM as well as 3rd party apps. There is a link in my signature on how to back up 3rd party apps as well.

    so far so good, i havent wiped yet. first i checked for the the apploader... i do not see this under Research in motion... this is the file path i have...C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry. i dont see a loader.exe file anywhere

    Do you have Vista? If so you have to go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion

    If you wipe, be sure to backup your 3rd party apps. which it's usually a good habit to do so anyways.
