I don't care for the looks (it's not terrible, just not that great) but it seems like a solid phone. Hopefully motorola can make some solid hardware, they can make great or really crappy stuff (RAZR comes to mind, god were they garbage) and with Android this could be a killer phone. Hopefully catapults Android into the spotlight even more and it gains some more marketshare.

I see that. Though "advertised" isn't the right word since it was merely rumors that said otherwise.

despite what the processor is, it has been reported by BGR that the phone is extremely fast...just check out BGR tomorrow, he will have a more detailed review of the Droid...

There are 2 processors in the Droid, 1 for the OS and 1 for graphics hence speedy set.

I had a SLVR L7 for quite a while, and it was indeed a fantastic quality phone. Very solid feeling, but thin and small.

Its developed for a CDMA network, and I'm betting they don't want people taking it the the competitor with unlocking. If you need to go overseas (especially if you travel a lot) you'd be better off getting a phone that is meant for that purpose. This also becomes true in regards to keeping the slim design and managing battery. Too many things in the phone makes the design harder to manage.

It looks "industrial" to me. It's not meant to be pretty or to be bright and flashy or anything. I love the dark colors and clean straight lines that it has. Something like the Cliq looks like a toy to me.
