I've been talking to my two buddies who work at VZW avidly and I've been chomping at the bit for the Storm2 like everyone else.

Until...

One of them put the HTC HD2 in my hands.

I've LOVED my blackberrys as long as I've owned them, and I couldn't imagine going back to something as archaic as the Sony Ericssons I always ran, and after handling this phone and researching it a bit, I feel like sticking with blackberry...even the mighty Storm2 is a step backward compared to what's available.
Check it out and keep an open mind beyond our crackberry craze...

Attractive but... WinMo 6.5. I spent an hour trying to figure out an Imagio running 6.5 and gave up. Maybe I'm just slow, but it wasn't intuitive. Also, I don't see anything anywhere that addresses email capabilities. #1 most important function, for me, in a smartphone. All I see on the specs page is a reference to ActiveSync. What am I missing?

He had their demo unit, I played with it for about 10 minutes and told me it was going to be in November.

THEN he told me to hold out because they're getting an HTC Droid phone in January that will blow that one away.

Hmmm this doesnt make much sence. Are you sure you didnt play with the Imagio? The Droid is suppose to drop in a few weeks.

The HTC I've seen reference to w/VZW is HTC Hero...pics of the VZW and Google CEO's w/Hero and Droid in hand came out a couple of weeks back.

Slick interface. But...Android 1.6, slower processor, gets bogged down w/apps/widgets open, and read comments in Android forum it can get quite hot.

Don't know if that's what you looked at...but could likely be it.
