I get that too on mine but I am not running 5.0, using the 4.5.0.170

it's almost like a squelch sound

Not much you can do about it, unless you are willing to load a different OS/radio. Otherwise, you pretty much have to deal with it.

Mostly Verizon, and not all Verizon people get it. Some (rare) have reported it on Sprint and other cdma networks (may be roaming on Verizon though).

I have 2 beeps coming on my 8520 out of the blue, any idea what this is about? Phone is locked and right next to me, i have had this a couple of times now, think the last time happened was a good few days back.
