Ok lately ive been gettin real sick of the 160 character limit on my BB. With Verizon text on normal phones u can send however many characters u want to verizon people and only 160 to people outside ur carrier. Is there a way around this cuz i text alot and i hate having to send text in 2 or 3 messages cuz of the 160 limit when i mostly text verizon people.

    Thanks

There is software out there that lets you go beyond that but, you can also just send it as a MMS message and that's 1000 characters

download the app 'gobeyond160' if you really send long texts that often...it's a one time fee of a few bucks, it works well..well worth it.

Or, just send, and then send another message.

Yeah, I'd go with the send/type/send/type, etc method... As inconvenient as it is for you to not have a contiguous platform to type your thoughts out, it is probably equally inconvenient to whomever you are sending texts via this method and then having to stop mid thought to open a new text message and remember where they were in your massive soliloquy... Or, you could just update your device OS to a leaked 5.0 version for your device so you can take advantage of threaded sms, chat like sms (there is still the 160 limit, which is a CDMA network limitation) that leaves your previous texts on screen while you type your next and will even display your contact's retort while you do the typey thing! it's a smooth easy to follow display...
