Has anyone done this? I saw a guy tether his HTC to his IPOD touch.

You'd need to create some sort of WiFi hotspot on your Bold which isn't currently supported. I think you saw JoikuSpot/WMWifiRouter which is a pretty cool app.

If you jailbreak the ipod, you will be able to teather via bluetooth.

My iPod Touch has Bluetooth. Works great with the Motorola S9-HD headset. The Bluetooth came with the 3.0 system upgrade.

windows mobile and htc are able to do it because the wifi on the htc can be used as a ad-hoc hotspot so ur ipod can detect ur phone as a router and use it for internet access through 3g

Second and third generation models only. If you bought your iPod after September 2008, it has Bluetooth in it.

How's the quality of transfering data, between your BB to your touch, via bluetooth?

    Does the browser work well?

Can you transfer files back and forth?

Does it require the tethering plan, or would the standard data plan be ok?

Also, you need to do the 3.0 upgrade that was released a few months ago.

I've never tethered. I only use the bluetooth to listen to music.
