    did you download and install it prior to using DM? Verizon is still 4.7.0.148 officially so unless you downloaded the leaked 5.0 OS it shouldn't be there.

    Doubtful. You'd have to send us a screen shot of your about screen. Also it would take about 20 to 40 minutes for this to happen.

    Just in case there was some update of desktop manager I checked that out too. There isn't any. No way the OP can be correct. Probably just confused about something.

    Yes last time I did a sync on this computer I had pushed 5 out. I was shocked because since then I'm not running 4.7. Must have been the reason. darn!!

    Not to worry. Now if you would have said .288 then I think you may have got everyones nerves rattled, but .140 didn't make sense.

    I actually had this happen the other night! I'd DLed the full .230 leak and installed it, ready to go through CrackBurgler's tutorial. When I plugged my phone into DM (5.0) to back everything up, it popped up that I had a 5.0 Core Software Update and went ahead and installed the software on my phone. I started freaking out all excited and then when I checked the number I saw that it was .230. So this does indeed happen!! (i'm actually sort of glad that the DM did it for me, I was nervous about doing the upgrade!)
