I am using the 230/238 hybrid on a 8330 on sprint and I have had no real problems but some people are but I thing most of the problems are related to how they install it.
Not to say that im wright and your wrong just make sure you do it right. there are plenty of guide that will walk you through it or let me know and ill send you a link to one. the better job you do on an install the less problems you will have
I've been running it since the day it leaked and added the .238 hybrid for the new theme as soon as that came out too and I love it. the new BBM is what really made this the best though. yeah you wont have much free memory, even after using shrink-A-os or anything, but its still faster than any 4.5 build or hybrid in my opinion. I run about 20MB free at first boot and I'm at 13 now. but its FAST!

I'm running the .238 hybrid and it runs great. The only problems I've found are the lack of themes, so I can't use my faves from 4.5. Also, for some of my third party apps when I do a reboot, I have to reset the sounds in my profiles. Also, on long calls, if you hit the one hour mark, the phone reboots itself

Been running 5.0 for 48 hours now with no problems. Just make sure you back up EVERYTHING. Most of my stuff (with regular backup) came back through the network, but I wish I would have written down some of my settings, because I didn't get all of them back. For example, all of my custom ringer profiles were lost, all of my contact ringers needed to be reassigned. Other than that I'm very pleased with 5.0.
I'm running .230 on a Sprint 8330. I'm having profile issues but I think they are related to BerryBuzz. Also my phone reboots on a 40 min. call. Other than that I did a fresh install of apps and everything is working just fine cept profiles. Also Viigo (Viigo News) was being a stinker and I uninstalled and reinstalled it from scratch and it works ok except it won't scroll photos in the articles.
Also I installed the 8520 precision zen theme as mentioned in the Leaked OS section and most of the 8520 and 8350i themes are working fine on my 8330 now.
Overall I like this OS really well, it also seems to be giving me better battery life than 4.5 and most of the lags have disappeared.
I have been running tour os 5.0 for two days and its a great os. The only thing I have had issues with is the sprint nav.. Anyone had issues with it ? I like to use this app because of the text to voice option that google maps does not offer yet.
The official word is that 5.0 won't be coming to the 83xx because of the onboard memory. But that may change seeing how JA and the others have ported it over and proved that it can run just fine on our Curves. I just hope that the RIM guys that undoubtedly troll around in the forums take note and make this happen.

The problems:
Sprint 8330 on 5.0.230
picture mail did not pass correctly
scroll is jumpy
browser is different, but hard to see some pages
ate up all memory down to like 12megs left. I have no apps but facebook running. my pics and music are on card
Expected to see new themes, but none.
I love the threaded chat sms, I think thats it.

Justin I am running 5.0.0.238 and it has been pretty good. It has just rebooted once out of the blue while on a long call�.. how is your latest hybrid running? Advantages over 238??
I really want a bold or tour like theme with updating weather, calendar, and like 6 app icons on the today screen. I downloaded the theme builder from rim, but it may be above me. I am trying though. Can anyone through me a bone?
if you are running .238 or have the precision zen theme on your device there are three themes that will work for you that I have loaded hurricane, reflections and Threshold which I am running now... I will lookfor the thread that has the ota install. Do you have .238
