I got my tour replacement in the mail today...it is a green dot (still not sure what that means but from what I have read it id good!?!) and the date on the box is 25Sept2009...the trackball is AMAZING and I can actually move around my screen!...anyways...

I wanted to thank spaciorek and Crucial_Xtreme for there incredibly useful write-ups on how to upgrade your phone and how to back up 3rd party applications! So easy and I wouldn't have had a clue how to do it and would probably still be downloading all of my apps! Thanks!!

Green dot means the phone was manufactured on 8/19/09 or later and was made to correct the trackball issue. I'm suprised they sent you a brand new one and not a refurb. All Tour owners whom I have spoken to recently have gotten refurbs.

    Spaciorek and CX are awesome!!!

I just received my 3rd tour, second replacement for trackball issues. First time the trackball wouldn't move the cursor to the right most of the time (took over a month to start acting up though). Second time, trackball suddenly started moving the cursor to the right when scrolling to the left, but scrolling to the right also moved the cursor to the right. VERY difficult to navigate websites or edit emails/texts that way :-).

Anyway, the last replacement was a new phone. This one appears to be a refurb - but the label on the plain brown box has a green dot on it. Does that mean this is a "green dot" phone? I know that sounds stupid, but I was thinking the green dot on those phones was on the label on the phone itself, under the battery. Am I wrong?

Also, the invoice included says "Limited Warranty" on it. Verizon/RIM aren't limiting my warranty because I needed a replacement phone (or two) under warranty, are they?
