If you are like me, you sit in front of a PC most of the day with a BlackBerry in your pocket. Every time it rings you have to dig it out just to see who is calling, and you think to yourself, wouldn't it be nice if the caller ID just popped up on my computer screen so I could see who is calling before going through the trouble to dig it out of my pocket?
Well that is exactly what Blurts is designed to do. A desktop app and a BlackBerry app talk via Bluetooth to display caller ID info and more.
We have the first phase of the project almost complete and are looking for beta testers to help us out.
Email me if you have a PC with Bluetooth and are interested.
Snarl or Growl support would be great, wouldn't be hard to do either. This is a great idea, save me walking over to my phone on it's dock to see who's calling.

I sent an email to ya but thought I would post here as well to get other's thouhgts.
Got it installed and works perfectly so far.
A few requests:
1. Make the fonts on desktop alert a little larger.
2. Make the desktop alert stay a little longer if possible.
3. Allow the contact picture to display on the desktop alert if possible.
4. On the device side, allow the return button act as hide too. Almost missed the hide in the menu. I am used to hitting the return button to send apps to background. It is setup to exit as it stands now.
All calls and emails have displayed on PC desktop/

Will let you know more later.
I agree with everything here... Especially making desktop alert last a little longer or maybe customizable so you could decide how long it shoud last.
