    Hello,

I'm trying to upgrade from 4.6.1 to 5.0.0.190 on my Curve 8900. I haven't had the BIS service for a while to save some $$$ - but it appears that the Desktop Manager 5.0 software won't let me upgrade because it will only allow "active" users to upgrade.

    Any idea for a workaround?

    Thanks

FYI, this is the "active subscriber" issue that others have reported. Is there any workaround for this..?

    Disabled pc internet connection?

or use the app loader(minus vendor.xml)

    May work.

    Good Luck.

I think the phone has to reconnect to the BIS after an update, so you may get it loaded, then have a phone that wont let you do anything.

this doesnt have anything to do with the phone...it only affects the desktop manager and allowing you to upgrade
