Ok I have a 5 with the icon on my screen and I updated my apps but the icon won't go away! How can I get rid of it? I did the battery pull and its still there!

You "updated" your apps... the icons will still be there if you update them... are you trying to delete them?

Go in to your messages folder and make sure the update messages are deleted.

Oh, the message notification... you might need to open your Messages icon > Menu > View Folders > then look around... it should be in there somewhere.

Yes I tried everything . Someone posted something that worked on my 8530 . Can't find it now but this is what he said . go to BB world / my world /click on uninstalled item /hit bb button and select to highlight item words (eg, Time for time app ) bb button again and hit reinstall as it starts to download hit pad or ball once to pause and go back to bb button and cancell download .........................gone . Very frustrating to see something on there that I don't want , glad this worked . good luck.
