What new BB are being made for AT&T? I like the onyx so far, but I am not quite sure. Right now I have a BB Curve 8130. It's decent but it's not exactly the fastest when it comes to web browsing. I can upgrade my phone in Dec and was trying to figure out what was coming out, when, and which is the best. Simply put...I want the best.

9700 will probably replace the curve 8310, but still on AT&T, the Bold is best they have. Which can be purchased at many retail stores from $0-$150 with a 2 year contract. And craigslist has them also for $250, which could save you money i guess.

TMobile will have it in November, as for AT&T, possibly after that. Could be 1-3 months, just like they did with the 8900 Curve.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the 9700 have a "Bold" badge on the back? Meaning if it is going to replace or be the evolution of anything, it would be the Bold, not the 8310.

We have to wait that long for the Oynx to come to AT&T? The Onyx may sway me back to BB from the iPhone.

I'm sorry to tell you but you've been misinformed. AT&T will have the 9700 before T-Mo. AT&T is receiving it late Oct and early Nov. The phone is a Blackberry Bold (9000) replacement/upgrade and is going to debut as such.

Are you kidding? How would the onyx be the 8310 replacement? The onyx will be better than the bold.

Oh and the 8310 replacement would probably be the Curve 8900.

They're both going to be very close. TMO may get theirs out first but if so it won't be by more than a few days, two weeks at the outside.

And early November is still the target.

And then I walked into an authorized at&t dealer to ask when would the BB2 would be released & the guy there said: "the blackberry 2? In another 2 yrs" How dumb of him to tell me such a stupid lie, cb site offers more information than
    Many of these at&t employees.

Unfortunately I don't think authorized retailers get told a lot of upcoming device information. I'm willing to bet if they know anything its from this website! :P Silly AT&T keeping emps in the dark.

Not just AT&T. I walked into a local T-mobile store today to poke around for a bit. I decided to ask a sales rep about the 9700 to see if he knew anything I didn't. Off the bat he goes, "9700??? You mean the 9800, the one with... (he goes into a half accurate description of the Onyx), yeah - that'll be out in early February."

The Onyx is a Bold series phone. The 8520 is a Curve series phone. If it comes to TMobile I will get it if it comes to ATT I'll get it that way. I am a fool for new technology. My loyalty is BB. Only thing I learned my lesson on is the Google Android phones. I hate them and I did it for both models what a waste on a great design.

Authorized dealer is not Corp store. They sometimes get information last...which he is relying upon what he was told. All they get are rumors and half-truths...which is what they rely to us...
