My brother in law was robbed and his BB Curve 8330 was taken in the process. My question is, can you use the BB Maps app remotely to get a location of the phone? Or does it have to be done from the phone itself? Thanks
If the phone was on BES service, the BES admin can possibly locate the phone. If the phone was not on BES, and you did not install tracking software on the phone before the theft, you can't track it. BBMaps cannot be used for that purpose. Google Latitude could, if it was running when the phone was stolen and the thief didn't disable it.
