Wow.....just tried out this new version and its optimised for memory......my blackberry doesnt lag with this version anymore....and they did away with the 'home' screen
Yeah I know, don't sucker for someone who replies to their own post touting a new product.
I love viigo and am hopeful this new version solves the memory hog issues that have plagued it in the past. The download is stll 1mb but honestly, initially it does seem faster but I am going to test drive it for a day or two before giving a review. Fingers are crossed.

well...i was just sharing my experience.......if you cant except that....please move on.......
Hmm I have sports, flights, stocks.... not missing anything either......
Yeah, that's because you have the *standard* version, as do I. There seems to be a lot of confusion here due to versioning; the number is the same (3.1.454) but the actual program changes depending upon which link one uses to download the program.
getviigo.com/privatebeta gets you the standard (full) version (3.1.454).
getviigo.com/news gets you the "news only" (lite) version (3.1.454).
works GRRRREAt on my 8900 os 5.0.0.190! it's eve greater cos it now supports wifi (without actually having a data plan, just plain good ol' free wifi). sweet.
I now have the lite version. None of the first screen stuff is there. Not sure which I like better. At first I didn't like that, but then I thought, I never really use any of their weather, podcast, etc. So we'll see.
Seems to be much quicker. I'm using the version with the front page, but it is the "lite" version in that I can't remove the major services from the front page.
This DOES seem a lot snappier on my 8900. Very nice -- reminds me of the fast, responsive Viigo that I first really liked. I had been losing affection for the product as it got more and more ambitious -- seemed to get too big and bloated for my taste. This feels better and more focused, and matches my own preferences much better. Looking forward to using Viigo again!
