question: will using Wi-Fi drain the battery faster?
See I dont know about that. I had a curve 8900 before I got my tour and left wifi on 24/7 along with using wi/fi alot at my house and all the regular phone usage while out and about, and my battery lasted the whole day, now I know curve 8900 was not 3g and the storm 2 would be plus cdma seems to drain quicker than gsm, but I know it didnt on my previous phone. Hope it has the same efficiency.
Delta is the big one in the US as far as majors go. AirTran and Virgin America have it on all of their planes. Southwest, Alaskan are testing, AA, US, etc. are getting there. JetBlue has one plane too (BetaBlue, sponsored by RIM).
I am just curious if Verizon will offer cheaper data plans since the Odin will have Wi-Fi... I mean, do we really need to pay out the nose for a data plan if we use Wi-Fi instead?
Problem is, You can't use WiFi unless you are in a hot spot.
The data plan works everywhere you have data service.
The Blackberry would be pretty useless without a data plan.
