There is not a dedicated sms/mms icon aside from the general messages icon. I do not like my texts mixed with other messages. Is there a way to create a sms/mms icon for these themes? Am I missing something? Can anyone shed light on this for me?

not sure what your talking about....? every theme ive downloaded has seperated sms and email..... maybe the them you downloaded just returns it to stock theme settings? try to go thru the general settings and see if it is set to seperate

While in Messages, go to Options->General Options, then scroll down to 'SMS and Email Inboxes', change this to 'Separate'.
