To be honest! I just bought my BlackBerry for the looks! I needed a new phone and the Blackberry was the only phone that standed out compared to the other phones out there. Many other phones were the same crap that comes out every year in differrent colors!

my friend got a pearl I thought it was cool. my contract with verizon was up and I wanted to get an iPhone. But I didn't have the money to front for a 500$ iPhone at the time and I was able to get my 8310 for $55 after 2 rebates I found online plus the $100 at&t rebate down from $250. I planned on selling it a few months down the road for an iPhone. I had no idea I'd be on the crack that fast. Lets just say I see a iPod touch in my future.

I wanted qwerty and a phone that could be used in Europe (if the Euro ever drops in value or the $$ increases!!). And the price when I was looking was good with rebates and discounts etc.

I actually got it by lucky accident...had a Dash that was acting up, traded it in for a new one, that one was crazy right out the box, so they offered an 8700g as equivalent...end of story! I have since upgraded to the 8320 and omg I loooove it. I was hooked with the 8700, but the Curve is my blood signature on the dotted line lol

I am out here in Oregon and my family is in NJ and although we talk a lot I wanted the ability to have instant access to my email. I opted for the Pearl because of its size, but having seconds thoughts about not getting a full sized unit.

I have always used treo's and finally got tired of the instability. I tried an old 7250 off ebay for a month and was very impressed by the stability and instant email. "it just works" was my opinion and haven't looked back.

I am a consultant so I use it to keep in touch with my clients.

I bought mine because our employee plans gave us unlimited BES (no BIS at the time) for $22.50 instead of $44.99

I then fell is love with push.

To be connected at all times!! Especially with being Deaf, I needed a qwerty phone so the blackberries provided the best there is. (I've tried my bf's treo, didn't like it but he likes it so I let him be.) I LUV my defcurve so much that I'd freak out when I learn that it's not with me even for a few minutes!!

My treo was getting old and I was tired of resets four or five times a week and a horrible battery. I got the bb because it just works and I really love it. I don't have any problems. The only thing I miss is Docs 2 Go and with the OS update soon, my bb will be better than the treo.

I really like the form factor also. No more "Is that a brick in your pocket or are you..."

I had a sidekick and loved being able to do everything on one device. I didn't expect to upgrade to a curve but the tmobile salesperson convinced me. I'm so glad I did. Life changing. Everything I need can be done from this phone for the same price that I paid monthly for the sidekick.

My workmate got the Curve 8310 late last year, but it wasn't until February this year that I had a fiddle around with it. It just felt right & I really liked the trackbell. He told me "get it, you won't regret it". I was a bit hesistant as my contract had a few months left on it. I did get it but was still unsure even on the day when I was signing a new contract to get it. Now two months later, I'm glad I did.
