I need help again....Please! My lovely BB Curve began to crawl this last weekend & my battery is draining horribly quick. I tried to optimize & discovered that I have (2) two Blackberry 4.5 OS loaded. How I did that is anyone's guess LOL Can I delete one? If so how?

    thanks so much!

That is not possible to have two operating systems installed on the same device, at least to my knowledge. What do you mean you "tried to optimize"?

Use JL_Commander to wipe the OS from device, download desired OS to PC and upgrade using apploader...

I believe that I do have a backup but wiping it seems a bit extreme. I found the two (2) OS in the application list. Does this issue explain why my BB is so sluggish & why the battery is being drained so quickly?

What exactly did it say in the Application List? There are several things on that list that say 4.5 OS in it, but they aren't necessarily an OS...

Options>>About will show you which OS you have installed.

The Applications will show what is installed on the phone, and unless you see Blackberry 4.5.0 Core Applications and Blackberry 4.5.0 System Software listed twice each, I highly doubt you have two OSs installed.

In the application list there are (2) two Blackberry 4.5.....4.5.0

When I click on these they both go to
Blackberry 4.5.0 System Software Properties.......ah-ha one says System Software whereas the other says Core Applications. Apparently these are in fact different.....so sorry, please don't shoot the newbie!

I am still puzzled at the sluggishness & battery drain?

it appears you now have a problem and dont know what's causing it, i'd say do a battery pull and see if it fixes it, if not keep an eye on applications that are open, (alt-menu key) things like msn and other programs that are always updating use battery and will slow down the device. could also be a problem with a new theme you installed. could be a faulty OS install.

That sounds like you need to wipe you bb and then reload with the newest os I had to do it twice b4 my berry was up to par also consider running a hybrid I feel mine is a lot faster with it then the regular os I had good luck

basic apps... what are they... usually 3rd party apps updating on internet sucks down your battery and slows things down. Is it slow all the time?
