What I've heard is, once all the "green dot" Tours have fully replaced the "non-green dot" Tours in Virus stores and in the warehouse, they will work on the launch of 5.0.
For now, BB and vendors are too preoccupied with fixing hardare issues.
IMO I think it might be sooner than we think. I mean there are tons of OS leaks going around, a new leaked DM manager, and most important, wasn't there an article floating around about some bis 2.8 upgrade that was slated to roll out "around" sept. 10 and in that same article it stated that some of those features needed OS 5.0 to be fully functional. I would think an upgrade like that would not roll out if it were not fully up and running no? IMO then why the **** roll it out. Now do I think it will be that soon, absolutely not, but I would not put the release of the new OS that far off.
late september/early october release makes alot of sense, all these recent 5.0 builds were rushed to developers under NDA in order for developers to have programs comaptible with 5.0 before it goes live.
i saw on a screenshot somewhere here that MR1 for the tour was 9/15 or something like that. MR1 would be the maintenance release update. wondering what version that is?
