I finally downloaded Opera Mini to my Pearl and the down load went fine but when I clicked the icon - It says "Installing" then after a few seconds it comes up........

"Failed to connect to the internet"

I have the unlimited data package so that is not the problem...... I tried to read about other threads and most dealt with having no data package..... So what am I doing wrong?

I appreciate any help......

Did you download the correct version of Opera mini to correlate with your OS?

Try to download again.

Change your tcp settings and add wap.voicestream.com and restart your BB this will allow you to use operi mini

Lush - I downloaded from my handheld and it was the only icon for download.....

Latina - That was my next troubleshoot

Errocia - When I go into TCP it only asks for APN: and then Username & Password for APN..... WHat is that?

Enter wap.voicestream.com unter APN.

Leave username and passwork empty.

That will allow Opera to connect to the internet.

Just try it. you may need to restart your phone too.

i've been havin opera problems too...it works half the time while the other half it just loads and loads but doesn't get anywhere

dude i had the same problem and i actually had to call customer service because the genius that sold me the phone didn't activate the blackberry data and browser. i have t-mobile, but thats what i did, and i changed the apn to wap.voicestream.com
